Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 July 2026
These Terms govern yoga classes, memberships, workshops, and related services provided by Linden House Yoga (“we”, “us”), operated by Clara Weiss, at Bergstraße 8, 29221 Celle, Germany. By booking a class, purchasing a pass or membership, or registering for a workshop, you (“student”, “member”, “client”) agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide group yoga classes, private sessions, workshops, and business yoga as described on our Classes and Pricing pages. Yoga instruction supports general wellbeing and fitness; it is not medical treatment, physiotherapy, or psychological counselling. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.
2. Booking and payment
- First-visit and drop-in classes must be booked in advance via our sign-up form, email, or phone.
- Class passes and memberships are paid in full before activation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Prices are in EUR and include statutory VAT (Mehrwertsteuer) where applicable.
- Payment is accepted by card, cash, or SEPA direct debit for recurring memberships.
- Student and senior discounts (10%) require valid identification at purchase.
3. Memberships
- Light and Unlimited memberships require a minimum term of three months.
- After the minimum term, cancellation requires 30 days' written notice (email sufficient).
- One pause of up to two weeks per year is available on Unlimited memberships with advance notice.
- Membership fees are charged monthly on the date of enrolment.
- Failed SEPA payments may incur reminder fees as permitted by law.
4. Class passes
- Passes are valid for the period stated at purchase (2 or 4 months).
- Unused classes after expiry are forfeited unless we agree an extension in writing.
- Passes are non-transferable except the one guest pass included with the 10-class pass.
5. Scheduling and cancellation
- Booked classes may be cancelled at least 6 hours before start time by email or phone.
- Late cancellations or no-shows forfeit the class credit on passes and count toward monthly membership allocation.
- We may cancel classes due to illness, low enrolment, or force majeure and will offer rescheduling or credit.
- Schedule changes are published on our website and communicated to members by email where practicable.
6. Studio rules
- Arrive 10 minutes before your first class; 5 minutes for regular visits.
- Inform teachers of injuries, pregnancy, or relevant health conditions before class.
- Mobile phones must be silenced. Photography during class requires teacher consent.
- Students behave respectfully toward teachers, staff, and other participants.
- Parents or guardians remain responsible for minors throughout kids and teen classes.
7. Health and participation
Yoga involves physical activity. You participate at your own risk and confirm you are physically able to take part, or have consulted a doctor where appropriate. Prenatal students require medical clearance after week 12. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions unless caused by our proven negligence.
8. Workshops and courses
Workshop fees are due at registration. Cancellations more than 7 days before the event receive a full refund or credit. Cancellations within 7 days forfeit the fee unless your place can be filled. Fixed-term courses (e.g. Beginners Course) require payment for the full series; individual session refunds are not available once the course has started.
9. Private and business sessions
Private sessions require 24 hours' cancellation notice. Business yoga contracts are governed by separate written agreements where applicable; otherwise these Terms apply.
10. Refunds
Class passes and memberships are generally non-refundable once purchased. If we permanently cease operations, unused credits and prepaid fees will be refunded pro rata. Statutory consumer rights under German law (BGB), including withdrawal rights for distance contracts where applicable, remain unaffected.
11. Liability
We teach with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our liability for direct loss is limited to the fees paid for the affected service, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (e.g. injury caused by our gross negligence or intent, or under the German Produkthaftungsgesetz where applicable).
12. Intellectual property
Teaching materials, sequences, and studio branding remain our property. Recording classes (audio or video) requires prior written consent.
13. Privacy
Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence apply where required. The courts of Celle have jurisdiction for business customers; for consumers, the statutory jurisdiction rules under the German Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) apply.
